ReBoot

It seems that REMAKE and REBOOT are in for the year 2011. The once most watched and successful  t.v. series of the pass was bringing back to the boob tube for the new era watch. Reworking the previously hit t.v series for the majority of the viewers on present century. Here in the Philippines we also have our own version of reboot and that is what we called the REMAKE. Some of this remake are the teleserye that made Philippines Television history  like the Teleserye Mara Clara and Mula Sa Puso. We also have the Mexican adapted telenovela like María la del Barrio and  Marimar,  and a Philippines remake of Chilean drama entitled ¿Dónde Está Elisa? (Where Are You, Elisa?) or Nasaan ka Eliza?, There is also also hit classic movie or comic series like the one that Pablo Gomez's Machete which has adapted to a movie and now to a teleserye of the same title and among others, This t.v remakes are being offered by the 2 major  TV network company in the Philippines (ABS-CBN and GMA). American has its own version also of remake and that is what they called the REBOOT. Reboot as it define as an alternatively referred to as restart and in television jargon reboot means, reworking, restating, remaking the old hit t.v series or movie. Some of this movie or t.v series of the pass that is rumored or was confirmed to be rebooted are the following;

The Amazing Spiderman (2012) -  is a fictional comic book superhero character that was featured in Marvel Comics publications that has appeared in three films since his inception. Spiderman reboot is continuation of series Sam Raimi created  back in 2002 which was popularly starred by Toby Maguire.

In the reboot the series will place Peter Parker (the Spiderman alter ego) in a more contemporary setting, as a teenager battling today’s issue. The new Peter Parker will be played by Andrew Garfield which was also seen in the movie like The Imaginarium of Doctor Parnassus (2009), The Social Network (2010)Never Let Me Go (2010) and Boy A (2007). The decision of of rebooting franchise came from Sony who developing  Spiderman project simultaneously. According to the rumors Sony was working on both Sam Raimi's Spider-Man 4 and an origin story from James Vanderbilt who was also responsible for the movie "Zodiac" However Sony decided to push back the start of production of Spider-man 4 as it was clear that Raimi and company would not be able to make the summer 2011 release date. The new Spider man reboot which has its working title "The Amazing Spider-Man" will be star by Emma Stone,Andrew Garfield, and Martin Sheen and directed by Marc Webb and will be release in 2012.

Charlie's Angel 
Is the critically panned female detective series that heralded the age of "jiggle TV  which run from 1976-1981. The show, which featured three shapely, often scantily clad women solving crimes undercover for a boss they knew only as a Godly voice from a phone speaker which become an immediate sensation, the series was the first shows that showcase women in roles traditionally reserved for men. The series was broadcast in USA and brought by ABC Television network. The Charlie's Angel was originally played by Kate Jackson, the late Farrah Fawcett-Majors and Jackly Smith and the series was created by Ivan Goff and Ben Roberts and produced by Aaron Spelling  and Leonard Goldberg. The successful t.v series also adapted to a motion picture twice through Charlie's Angel in 2000 who directed by McG and starred by Cameron Diaz, Drew Barremore, and Lucy Liu. The film was followed with a 2003 sequel, Charlie's Angels: Full Throttle. Now from the same network that brought the original hit t.v series will give you the reboot of the original series and in fact was in the work since 2009.The actress which will play of the three angels are Minka Kelly from "Friday Night Lights" along side Rachel Taylor from

"Transformer" and Annie Ilonzeh of "General Hospital". The new version will be produced and write by Miles Millar and Al Gough at the helm and Drew Barrymore who happened to play one of the Angels in two of the movie adaptation will also share producer credits. The new version is set in Miami. The 3 new Angels which play as Abby ( Taylor), the youngest of the gals and privileged daughter of a notorious Wall Street criminal. Her 'Angel' skill? She'll be an expert con artist and proficient in the defensive combat system Krav Maga. Kate (Ilonzeh), a studious ex-cop and martial arts master. Marisa (Kelly) She'll star as a former U.S. Marine trained in all forms of weaponry and hand-to-head combat.

Wonder Woman.
Another classic t.v series that will be rebooted on the boob tube is the Linda Carter original which was famously played the role of  the DC super heroine comic Wonder Woman. NBC reveals that the 27 years old actress Adrianne Palicki who star the 2010 film Legion and 2006 NBC t.v series Friday Night Lights was hand-picked by the executive producer David E. Kelly to don the big red which is now come in blue boots made famously by Linda Carter. As reported already Kelley said during the interview that pilot of the new Wonder Woman  reboot will be portray  as a "real complex woman and not just a superhero. Along with Palicki, Elizabeth Hurley and Cary Elwes have joined the cast. Hurley’s character runs a pharmaceutical company that is creating a drug that makes people stronger while Elwes plays the CEO of Diana’s company, Themyscira Industries. The series are currently shooting there pilot some early fan of the hopefully series is anticipating the Wonder Woman of the 21st century
